The introduction this year of female terminals for all but the Varley Red Top 60 racing battery clearly demonstrates our understanding of, and commitment to, motorsport.
Male battery terminals, also known as stud terminals, are prone to being snapped off. They are also vulnerable to being weakened by the constant movement of the cables under racing conditions. With female terminals it is more likely that the cable ends, rather than the battery terminals, become the weak spot, and cable terminations are generally easy to replace, and at a relatively low cost.
The use of Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology provides the maximum performance from a compact lightweight battery and Gas Recombination allows maintenance-free operation. You can install your Varley Red Top battery in almost any orientation to fit within tight spaces. This technology also means that, should you damage your
race car battery, it is very unlikely that corrosive electrolyte will leak out and that your battery may continue to operate the vehicle systems for a short period. To ensure that you achieve the best performance and lifetime
